SaaS Companies Are On The Rise In India

December 10, 2019

With the third-largest tech ecosystem in the world, India has built a strong reputation as a software development hub.

Instead of outsourcing companies developing bespoke software for others, growth is now coming from Indian SaaS companies developing and selling their own applications. With Indian startups raising $12.68 billion in funding in 2018, there is a perfect storm of talent, capital, and technology that is helping to power the SaaS ecosystem in India.

With more vendors seeing global success, it’s creating a positive environment that is helping build the next wave of successful Indian SaaS vendors. Indian SaaS players are perfecting their model at home and then quickly expanding into overseas markets. In many cases, North America is the first global stop, but increasingly Indian SaaS vendors are also looking towards high-growth markets in Asia Pacific that have similar market dynamics to India.

With more Indian companies achieving global success, it’s creating a positive environment that’s helping build the next wave of successful Indian SaaS vendors.

In celebration of India’s continued innovation, G2 is excited to release our list of the Best 25 Software Companies in India.
