If you’re in the B2B SaaS space and have been on LinkedIn over the past month, then you’d know G2’s Summer 2024 reports were released.
Every season, when we issue these reports, ranking products and services based on their customers’ authentic feedback, my LinkedIn feed is inundated with vendors celebrating their rankings and wearing their badges proudly – as they should be. In fact, despite all the social buzz, just 11% of all vendors on G2 were included in this latest quarter’s reports, with just 4% of all products and services earning a Leader badge!
But for Summer 2024 in particular, the social media promotion was even more amped up than usual. You might even say it was quite a bonanza out there, particularly in EMEA. The reason? EMEA-based vendors earning G2 badges this past season were throwing their proverbial hats in the ring for G2’s inaugural Badge Bonanza competition!
EMEA vendors delivered big time
Now let me just say that as a member of our G2 judging panel — composed of U.S. and EMEA-based marketing, design, and social media experts – selecting the winners was no easy task. As a reminder, we were looking for the top entries across these four categories: 1) Highest Engagement; 2) Most Fun, Quirky, or Clever; 3) Best Use of Video; 4) G2 Panel's Top Pick.
Nearly 300 posts came through on LinkedIn during the entry window, all mentioning our G2 profile and tagging #G2BadgeBonanza. While only four winners could be selected (believe us, we wanted to choose more after seeing all the entries!), there were so many vendors who raised the bar for how to celebrate G2 badges on social media.
For those who may not earn the glory of a win, please know you had us laughing out loud, utterly impressed, and sending some of our favorites around internally to share with our peers. Impressed is an understatement. We were absolutely blown away by the time, effort, and pure genius ideation that went into creating these assets. What also came through is how much SaaS vendors truly value the voice of their customers. And, you all really know how to have some fun too!

📈 Highest Engagement: AppsFlyer
These folks take wearing their G2 badges with pride to a whole new level, with some humor and…a tattoo. It’s clear why this submission saw the most engagement on its post - from likes, to comments, to shares, AppsFlyer is going viral!
😄 Most Fun, Quirky, or Clever: Eploy
The team at Eploy really took this contest to heart and gamified their nomination post, winning high scores in more ways than one!
🎥 Best Use of Video: CloudShare
While there were lots of great videos submitted, CloudShare stood out with a cinematic masterpiece. We were a bit concerned (and confused) about Ted at first, but like all good short films, he eventually got his ‘happily ever after.’
🏆 G2 Panel's Top Pick: Storydoc
This breaking news segment caught our attention, and by the looks of it, all of Europe’s! If you’ve seen this one, give it a rewatch to take in each component that makes this post our top pick – the badges, the European scenes, the background music, the scrolling text…it’s just too good!
HUGE congratulations go out to these four vendors. It’s a well-earned honor, and we’ll be celebrating these winners in social posts throughout the week.
