To help us drive toward this vision, I’m pleased to share today that Dane Howard has joined the team as Vice President of Product Experience Design.
In this role, Dane will be responsible for overseeing and shaping the user experience (UX) and design aspects of G2’s products and services, leading a team of product and UX designers. An experienced design leader and entrepreneur with a passion for building highly creative and collaborative distributed design teams, Dane is a brand builder with proven expertise across global markets, including working with brands like Microsoft, BMW, Major League Baseball, NBCOlympics, eBay, and Samsung NEXT. He is also a co-founder with two successful exits.
Sharing his excitement for joining the G2 team, Dane shared: "G2 is changing the experience of how software is bought and sold, and I'm honored to be part of a world-class team that is passionate about elevating the craft of human-centered design for G2’s customers. Together, we will continue to build authentic and trusted experiences to democratize software.”
Prior to joining G2, Dane led the UX and research teams for Amazon Health, where he helped grow the group from 80 to over 600 employees and launched a telehealth service across 50 states. He also oversaw the design and research of their consumer iOS and Android applications, as well as the clinical tools for their nationwide staff of clinicians and medical operations.
In early 2023, Dane launched Dane Howard Studio, specializing in generative AI, design, and fine art for commercial and residential projects across apparel, sports, and exhibit design. He is also an advisor to 'standbeautiful.me,’ an anti-bullying movement promoting the acceptance of self and others. After living in Silicon Valley for 15 years, Dane and his family now reside in Tennessee.
