Now, let’s dive into the categories on G2 that feature a Grid® Report for the first time. As mentioned earlier, not all categories on G2 are reflected in reports. We first need to make sure there is enough data to support the analysis and ranking for quarterly reports. According to our G2 Methodology, a software or service category becomes eligible for a Grid® Report when it has at least six products with over 10 reviews and over 150 reviews overall.

These are the 12 new report-ready categories this quarter.

New Report Ready Categories

  • Martial Arts – These tools provide dojos and other martial arts gyms with the ability to run their business efficiently. These tools are primarily used by business owners to streamline bookkeeping and scheduling while also making it easy for students to sign up and pay for classes.
  • Data Breach NotificationIn the event of a breach, this type of software helps companies document the breach, report to supervisory authorities as required by law, and notify impacted individuals. These tools automate and operationalize the data breach notification process to adhere to strict data disclosure law and timelines, which in some instances can be as few as 72 hours.
  • Employee Identity Theft ProtectionThis type of software helps businesses provide their employees with comprehensive identity theft protection. Companies often offer this service to employees as part of their corporate benefits package. These tools monitor employees’ personal information, including social security numbers, medical information, phone numbers, and other personally identifiable information (PII).
  • Earned Value Management (EVM)EVM software helps companies monitor the performance of complex and costly projects by defining a baseline for performance, which is then used to monitor the earned value (or the business value generated by projects). These tools help data science teams combine past and present data for predictive analytics.

This includes analyzing the source code, identifying potential security risks, scanning for malicious code, and verifying the authenticity of third-party components and dependencies.
  • Cloud Infrastructure Entitlement Management (CIEM)CIEM software, sometimes referred to as cloud permissions management software, is a security solution that manages user privileges or "entitlements" in cloud environments. These tools control access to applications, infrastructure, and resources in the cloud environment using the principle of least privileges (POLP).
  • Carbon AccountingThis type of software helps companies track carbon emissions and implement programs to reduce them through decarbonization. Businesses use these tools to improve their environmental protection initiatives and demonstrate their efficiency to interested parties like investors, partners, government agencies, NGOs, and the public.
  • Global Hiring ServicesAlso known as international hiring services, these tools help companies hire workers in multiple countries by enabling organizations to employ workers legally in various locations without having to establish their own legal entity in those countries.
